Well, the 35-year old recently acquired a private jet for himself for £30m, making him owner of the most expensive private jet of any footballer in the world.
The private jet, a Gulfstream G650 was acquired for £30m. This beauty had a list asking price of $70m in 2019. It can carry from 11 to 18 passengers and has a top speed of 610 mph per hour. The jet is Gulfstream’s largest and quickest business model.
The impressive twin-engine jet can carry up to 2,950 kilograms and has an ultralong range of over 8,000 miles, meaning he can travel from New York to Dubai or Los Angeles to Tokyo without refueling.
Some of the amenities that set Ronaldo’s private jet apart from the competition are a full-fledged entertainment system and a dining area with a microwave oven and a refrigerator. The jet is also reported to have WiFi, a fax machine and a telephone.
The 18-seater jet could be easily converted into sleeping space for 10 people, per some reports. The entrance of his jet is also personalised with his initials – CR7 on one side and a Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siu’ celebration on the other. There are also 16 large cabin windows, designed to maximise natural light in the plane.
According to Spanish site El Confidencial, Ronaldo rents out his jet at a cost of 6,000 euros an hour to recoup some of the cost. Apparently the player has a deal with charter company Executive Airlines, and receives a percentage of all rental income. The 6,000 euros gets you the plane, the pilots, cabin crew and fuel.
