For a pair of footwear, once described as notoriously ugly, Crocs have surprisingly become the new cool as more people are starting to rock them openly.
The footwear company, years ago was on the brink of bankruptcy with some experts predicting the brand’s demise, but now has made a come back and recorded huge sales after making lots of collaborations with popular artistes, designers and fashion houses.
The footwear company went viral recently when under its “A Free Pair for Healthcare.” designed specially and offered to health care workers in the US, free crocs in their bid to assist in the fight against covid-19. This move saw many shopping the brand in support of the gesture.
Recently, popular street-wear designer Anwar Carrots collaborated with Crocs, to deliver an eccentric limited edition Carrots x Crocs clog.
Anwar staying true to his brand on the smart use of primary colors, remixing orange and green shades in endless combinations without making it feel too dull, designed these footwears to be suitable enough for staying home, grabbing lunch or even going to the movies.
Carrots first made his mark in the Los Angeles streetwear scene as the creative force behind Peas & Carrots, a small label he founded with long time friend, Joshton Peas and rapper Casey Veggies. A few years back, he broke out on his own with Carrots by Anwar Carrots, a vibrantly colored line of graphic tees, hoodies, caps, and more.
This collaboration follows a growing list of several brand’s with Crocs; Pleasures, Balenciaga, Drew, Post Malone and Christopher Kane.
The Carrots x Crocs clog carries his label’s signature orange, balanced with green accents and some bold graphic prints. It also comes outfitted with three removable Jibbitz (charms).
