Lagos Fashion Week Day 1 – 2 Roundup: Orange Culture, Banke Kuku, Lagos Space Programme

On Thursday, Lagos Space Programme, Banke Kuku and Orange Culture hosted intimate off-site shows of their Spring/Summer 22 collections for Lagos Fashion Week.

Lagos Fashion Week 2021 started earlier on Wednesday and it’s been a refreshing experience of African fashion through a fashion business lens, deeply immersive digital presentations by rising designers, and offsite shows.

The first day, Wednesday, October 27, featured a Fashion Busines Series with two insightful conversations centred on investment in the fashion industry and sustainable sourcing

On the second day, Thursday, digital presentations premiered on the LFW website featuring designers including Vicnate, El Tayeb, Iwade, Wanda LePhoto, Orire, Maliko, Babayo, Echoes from Austria, Studio IMO, Geto, Pepperow and Mariah Bacoum.

Also on day 2, the Lagos Space Programme, Banke Kuku and Orange Culture hosted intimate off-site shows of their Spring/Summer 22 collections.

Day three, Friday, featured talks and more physical runway shows.
