It is time to bless your man. (or men, if you please)
Women have had a long struggle with knowing what to get for their significant other(s) on Valentine’s Day, the most common Valentine’s Day gift ideas they would go for often underwear or a piece of clothing, which may not be bad in itself but seems lame in comparison to the gifts that they are in turn lavished with on Valentine’s Day.
And so, we have curated a few ideas to ensure that your man has a giant smile on his face on the 14th of February.
- Customised Accessories: Accessories include bracelets, rings, wallets, bags, chains, earrings and the like. You could use his initials, his favourite quote, or expression, or take it a step further by printing the signature of his favourite political figure on a shirt.
- Candlelit Dinner: No, you don’t have to be a gourmet chef to get this done properly. And if you have to pay someone to decorate your apartment for you, it is worth it, isn’t it? Plan a playlist, light up some incense, and set the table. Make your man get all mushy and tongue-tied when he sees all the roses and balloons.
- Breakfast in Bed: If your man has to beat traffic in cities like Lagos, send a big lunch to his workplace. Make sure lunch or breakfast includes his favourite dishes, and if you break a nail while pounding yam, it is but a token of your love.
- Staycation: Because why not? Book a short-let apartment or hotel room just for the two of you, or more (if y’all are into it) and enjoy each other’s company. Keep social media and nosey folks away and enjoy each other, room service and nudity in peace.
- Get Him Tickets: Your man is going to kiss your pinched toes if you get him tickets to see his favourite artists, bands or sports teams live. He’s never going to forget that in a hurry, never. And if you’re asking why, it is because women have often asked men to choose between them and their passions, resulting in catastrophe. Buying him tickets to experience all of this shows your selflessness and willingness to share.
- Love Notes: Finding love notes in unexpected places, like his laptop screen or in his shoes, is a surefire way to make your man feel like a king. Try not to copy something off of the internet, rather use your words and your expressions, and watch him tear up, adorably.
- Do the Things He Loves: And do them with a big smile on your face. Wear his favourite colours and favourite perfumes, leave the TV showing his favourite shows and fluff his pillows properly. If you’re stuck, you may slyly ask him what he’d describe as a perfect day.
- Plan a Serenade: Instead of a saxophone or trumpet, get an experienced violinist to play his absolute favourite songs at his workplace, and you can add other elements such as a cake, flowers, chocolates, and coupons for other private activities. Be sure that he is at work though.
- Send Him Money: This is the easiest. Just send him money and write something typical for you or him to say in the description.
- Buy Him Something He’s Always Wanted, or something you think he should have. It could be gaming consoles, headphones, gym equipment, skincare products, hair products, shoes, clothes, property or shares.
Regardless of what Valentine’s Day gift ideas you decide to go for this Valentine’s Day, your man should absolutely view you as the prize.
So, blow his mind!
