The summer is coming – actually, it’s here already – and one thing everyone likes to do is to keep their clothes open, to enjoy the breeze that comes with the season. I love the idea of it as well …and that is why I am here to share these five skincare tips to leave your skin looking flawless. Skin products could be expensive but we often… forget that the basics are the most important.
Change Your Pillowcase
We have made this a skincare hack because a lot of people certainly falter at this, changing your pillowcase is basic guys!
A lot of people forget this but you shouldn’t be using the same pillowcase for weeks when you sleep, we sometimes sweat and this can build up germs on our pillowcase. You should have a change of pillowcases at least, once a week.
Avoid Touching Your Face
Most of us are guilty of touching our faces through the day. It is either we are touching our face reflexively, or trying to burst a pimple. We often find our hands on our face.
Touching your face is a serious skincare no-no and you shouldn’t be doing it. When you touch your face, you’re spreading that bacteria to your skin, which then can trigger breakouts and other skin problems.
Wear Sunscreen
The importance of sunscreen cannot be overemphasized. Wearing sunscreen every day should be an important part of your skincare routine. It helps you avoid sunburns and skin cancer. Make sure to apply a generous amount of sunscreen to your face after your moisturizer has dried. After you apply your sunscreen, wait at least 15 minutes before heading outside or putting on makeup so the sunscreen can absorb properly into your skin.
Moisturize Your Skin
Moisturize, dear. That’s the message!
Moisturizers are essential and you should moisturize your skin twice a day. After your morning shower and before you go to bed. Moisturizers are most effective if you use them while your skin is still damp because damp skin absorbs the product more readily. That also gives the moisturizer the chance to lock in that hydration.
Wash Your Face
Your face is probably the first part of the body people see when they look at you, therefore you want your face looking its best every time. It is important that you wash your face in the morning and before you go to bed, this helps to keep the face looking fresh, young and smooth.
The things we do not take into consideration are sometimes the issues that matter the most when it comes to skincare. It is never too early to start taking care of your skin. The more you take care of your skin now, the better it is going to look when you’re older. It is totally okay to invest and care about your skin.
