History has finally been made as our very own Burna Boy and Wizkid won the much coveted Grammy Awards last weekend.
The show dubbed as “music’s biggest night” was monumental for African artists.
They become Nigeria’s second and third Grammy Awards winners after Sikiru Adepoju.
Burna Boy, a nominee for a second consecutive year, won the Best Global Album with his ‘Twice As Tall’ album, after losing last year to Angelique Kidjo in same category.
Africa is here! we are here! You hear me? This is something fantastic for all Africans of my generation, all over the world, and this should be a lesson for all Africans, whatever you are, wherever you are, you can achieve it.

Wizkid also joined the list of Grammy Winners as his joint project with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy ‘Brown Skin girls’ won them the award for the Best Music Video.
The video was described as “a feast for the fashion-forward and a celebration of Black and brown female beauty everywhere”.
A huge one for the artistes, their fans and the country
