Nigerian singer-songwriter Fireboy DML, born Adedamola Adefolahan on 5th February 1996, is an award-winning artiste with over 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
In 2018, the Afrobeats and R&B artiste broke out with ‘Jealous’ which earned him several award nominations, and recognitions.
Fireboy DML released his debut studio album ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps’ in 2019. The 13 track Afro-fusion album was nominated at The Headies Awards for album of the year in 2020. His second studio album ‘Apollo’ which was released in 2020 also earned him multiple nominations and awards.
He has been featured on songs by a number of international and local international artistes. The 2021 remix of his hit song ‘Peru’ which features famous UK singer, Ed Sheeran peaked at No.2 on the UK charts. The song also hit No.2 on the US world music chart. His feature on Madonna’s ‘Frozen’ peaked at No. 12 on the US Dance chart.
