FashionBar has announced a new season of the highly anticipated Chicago Fashion Week. The shows will kick off on April 13 with the Designer Reveal and the full runway shows begin from April 21 to April 28.
This season’s Chicago Fashion Week powered by FashionBar aims at making a difference in the lives of individuals and communities growing the Chicago fashion industry and redefining wellness as it impacts beauty and fashion. This year, the non-profit beneficiaries will include:
Mary E. Smith Foundation (MESF) – The Mary E. Smith Foundation’s mission revolves around facilitating early brain tumor detection and prevention. The collaboration with them furthers this mission as they collaborate on the following shows: Designer Reveal, Modern & Ready2Wear, Next Generation, and Urban & Streetwear, Evening Wear Show.
Aids Healthcare Organization (AHF) – The AIDS Healthcare Foundation is a global nonprofit organization that delivers cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to more than 1,700,000 individuals across 45 countries. Donations will contribute to raising awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS, aligning with the mission of sustaining life, as exemplified by the Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Show.
Howard Brown Health benefiting the Broadway Youth Center (HBH & BYC) – FashionBar is excited to continue its 7-year relationship with Howard Brown Health including its work with the Broadway Youth Center (BYC), to present the groundbreaking fashion where transgender and nonbinary models walk the runway at Trans Media & Fashion Show.
These non-profit organizations coupled with Chicago Fashion Week are excited to kick off the season on April 13 with the Designer Reveal, closing with the Avant Garde Competition where designers are challenged to make a custom garment representing the Great City of Chicago.
From April 21 to April 28 2024, the runway is ready to showcase the various designer brands as they descend onto Chicago showcasing their lifestyle brands that bring inclusion, diversity and culture to the runway.
