Fashion Brand, Nyosi’s Debut Menswear Campaign with LadiPoe is Minimal Yet Fiercely Sensual

Nigerian Womenswear fashion brand, Nyosi dives into menswear in this minimal yet fiercely sensual campaign with Ladipoe.

The campaign showcases delicately-crafted easy wear pieces from locally sourced cotton and linen.

Fronted by the brand’s Creative Director Nessa and one of Nigeria’s favourite rappers, Ladipoe, we see bold, colorful and uber stylish pieces in this capsule collection.

We spoke to the brand’s Creative Director on the inspiration behind the collection.

The collection actually came about from an old shoot done with Poe and Deeds in 2019. It was super random and I wanted to dabble in menswear. Unfortunately, we lost the footage and decided to re-do it in future.

On the choice of Poe, she said:

He’s very handsome and clothes sit so well on him, so he’s been my muse for a while now. Collaborating with Poe still ties in with my main ethos for the brand which is “minimalist” sexiness. I like to be sensual with minimal effort. That’s his exact energy. From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t have to do a lot to make the ladies swoon.

For a campaign as powerful as this, it’s easy to decipher the message from one look at the imagery.

Nessa confirms this when tells us that beyond her love for making unique pieces, the core essence she ensures to pass on through her collections is “Minimal effort, maximum results.”
