For the 3rd consecutive year, XRetail in partnership with Afrikrea, will take place from July 8th-24th, 2022.
Founded in 2016, Anka, formally Afrikea is the leading marketplace of #African Fashion and all things #MadeOfAfrica online, which has bridged thousands of sellers from Africa and all over the world.
This year, XRetail 2022 will address the ever-changing nature of commerce and consumers by supporting African fashion, beauty, and accessory brands with physical pop-up opportunities in the key markets.
Following three successful years across both physical and digital activations, XRetail has successfully supported over 150 independent brands across fashion, beauty and accessories in over 10 African countries such as– Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Côte D’Ivoire, with the last edition receiving over 3 Million views and sales from patrons around the world.
XRetail, originally part of Lagos Fashion Week October S/S season, was given its first stand-alone event in 2019 to provide tangible commerce opportunities to the fast-growing ready-to-wear, high street market in Africa.
Since its inception, the XRetail platform has focused on facilitating commerce and creating access to market opportunities for fashion entrepreneurs to enable their business(es) to generate sales. This is key to their growth and the industry’s ability to positively impact the economic landscape. XRetail will provide access to the market for brands across Africa through a digital shopping experience on Afrikrea.
