10. Lamborghini Sian
Price: $3.6 million
The Lamborghini Sian is a limited production run of 63 cars, which have now all been sold. Lamborghini have put together the Sian as a hybrid supercar, which us a 6.5-litre V12 engine and extra electric motor.
This is the very first hybrid car that Lamborghini have sold, and every car will be individually customized according to the preferences of the owner.
9. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
Price: $4.5 million
Based on the Aventador, the Veneno was created to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary and was introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Veneno means venom or poison in Spanish and the car certainly gives off a deadly presence.
It can reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and its price tag makes it one of the most expensive production cars in the world!
8. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
Price : $4.8 million
For the Trevita, the Swedish manufacturer developed a new exterior finish called the Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave, which involves coating carbon fibers with a diamond dust-impregnated resin. We can’t even fathom how much the touch-up paint costs.
Underneath the lustrous finish lies a 4.8-liter, dual-supercharged V8 with a total output of 1,004 hp and 797 lb-ft, which means it should have little to no trouble overtaking semis on the freeway. The car’s specifications — in both performance and price — are nearly comical at this point, and just three were ever made.
7. Pagani Huayra Imola
Price: $5.4 million
The Pagani Huayra Imola was announced back in September 2019, and since then Pagani have released more technical details.
The twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG specifically for Pagani now pumps out an astounding 827 horsepower and 811 pound-feet, making the Imola more powerful than the Huayra BC. It’s production is limited to just five cars.
6. Bugatti Divo
Price: $5.9 million
The Bugatti Divo is a mid-engine sports car developed with a track-focused approach and manufactured by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. It was named after French racing driver Albert Divo, who won the Targa Florio race twice in the 1920s for Bugatti.
It’s based on the Chiron, and the two cars share a quad-turbocharged 16-cylinder engine rated at 1,500 hp. While the Chiron was developed for high-speed runs, the Divo was designed to stay glued to the pavement on a twisty road, and it benefits from a long list of chassis modifications. Forty units are planned.
5. Mercedes Benz Maybach Exelero
Price: $8 million
The Maybach Exelero is a high-performance four-seater sports car with V12 twin-turbo engine. It was commissioned by a German subsidiary of Goodyear, Fulda, to test their new Carat Exelero tire range.
The Exelero featured in one of Jay-Z‘s music videos and was purchased by rapper Birdman according to Top Gear. It has an impressive top speed of 213 mph.
4. Bugatti Centodieci
Price: $9 million
The car pays homage to the Bugatti EB110 and is a celebration of the Bugatti marque’s 110th birthday. It weighs 20kg less than the Chiron, and has an 8,000cc quad-turbocharged W16 engine, rated at 1,578hp. Production of the Centodieci will be limited to 10 units priced at 8 million euros ($9 million USD) each.
3. Rolls-Royce Sweptail
Price: $13 million
A stunning piece of handcrafted magic and powerhouse of automotive design and engineering, the Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a one-off luxury peace made in the United Kingdom by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The Sweptail made its debut as the most expensive new car in the world at the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event in 2017. It’s a one-off coupe that a customer commissioned from the ground up. Nearly every part of this car is unique, and the project took four years from start to finish, which explains why it cost approximately $13 million.
2. Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta
Price: $17 million
The Pagani Zonda was the brainchild of Italian sports car company Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani and debuted at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England. The car boasts of a 7.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine. The Barchetta peaks at 789bhp with a top speed of 221mph. It also has a six- speed manual gearbox. In addition, it spots forged aluminum wheels—20-inch in the front and 21-inch in the rear. The rear wheel fairings are made from carbon fibre. Although roofless, the Zonda HP Barchetta has a roof scoop. It is the fastest, and most powerful Zonda model ever produced.
1. Bugatti La Voiture Noire
Price: $19 million
Bugatti takes home the trophy for the most expensive car in the world. Making its debut a year ago at the Geneva International Motor Show, the one-of-a- kind La Voiture Noire is priced at $18.68 million. The name of the car translates to The Black Car. The new La Voiture Noire packs 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 pound-foot of torque that propels it from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It has a quad turbo W-16 engine with a top speed of 261 mph.
